Course aim

To provide an overview of the dimensions of global business and management, of how the management of a firm undertaking international or domestic operations differs in important aspects from other firms.

Course content

The foundations and challenges of global business and its management; the cultural environment; strategic planning; managing political risk and negotiations; organising international operations’ decision making and controlling; personnel selection; expatriation and repatriation; training and organisational development; industrial democracy and labour relations; communication; motivating and leading personnel; selected issues in global business and international management.
