To find out more about discipline-specific professional practice available to you, select from the list below. Current UniSA students should visit their program page for information about industry opportunities specific to your degree.

Professional Practice Program (PPP)

All Engineering (Postgraduate and Honours) and Construction Management (Honours) students must complete at least 450 hours of engagement with professional practice to meet the requirements of their program. The UniSA STEM Professional Practice Program (PPP) has been designed to assist students to accumulate these hours, within a flexible and supported structure. Students can acquire their hours through a range of activities which include:

  • placements
  • internships
  • guest lectures
  • industry panels
  • study tours
  • site visits
  • hackathons
  • networking opportunities
  • professional industry events.


Students start accruing hours from their first year at University and are supported by the STEM Industry Experience Team to strategically plan and manage the experiences to support their career ambitions.
