Aim

The Master of Pharmacy is designed to prepare students for a career in community, hospital or industrial pharmacy or in related professional careers through the application of knowledge, skills, behaviours and attitudes including a commitment to safe, competent and socially accountable practice.  The program in designed to produce graduates who have the capacity to apply research skills to undertake research projects in a health related setting.

Content & Structure

The program provides advanced training in legal and ethical pharmacy practice, person-centred care, interprofessional communication and collaboration, medication safety and quality use of medicines, primary healthcare, prescription and therapeutic problem management, cultural communication, digital health and harm minimization.

Study at the new Adelaide University in 2026

The University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia are combining their strengths to create a new university for the future, Adelaide University, opening in January 2026.
