Aim

The Graduate Diploma in Education Studies (Digital Learning) will provide participants with a high level of practical and theoretical knowledge and skills to support digital approaches in teaching and learning. The focus will be on rethinking curricula and pedagogies to generate engaging, interactive and challenging courses that existing and new technologies make possible.

Content & Structure

The Graduate Diploma in Education Studies (Digital Learning) will provide graduates with advanced knowledge and skills to enable them to systematically design, implement and evaluate digital learning environments in educational settings. They will be able to critically rethink curricula and pedagogies to generate engaging, interactive and challenging learning environments that existing and new technologies make possible. Graduates will be able to act autonomously and in teams to analyse, devise and communicate solutions to digital learning and teaching scenarios and problems. Their decision-making in relation to digital learning curricula will be characterised by evidence-based, well-reasoned judgements which will enhance their effectiveness as a practitioner and lead to learner benefit.

The Graduate Diploma in Education Studies (Digital Learning) requires participants to complete eight 4.5 unit courses (36 units in total). There are seven core courses and one elective.

The Graduate Certificate in Education Studies (Digital Learning) may be obtained through the completion of the first four core courses.
