Aim

The program prepares students for careers in a wide range of natural resources management agencies and industries and equips them with the knowledge and skills necessary to take a leadership role and responsibility in those organisations.

Content & Structure

The Masters program (Geospatial Science) requires the completion of 54 units of courses. Students can complete either:

  • four core courses (18 units), environmental Research Project 1 and environmental Researce Project 2 (18 units), three Geospatial Science electives (13.5 units) and one elective course (4.5 units) from either the Natural Resource Management, Water Mangement or Urban Ecology streams; OR
  • four core courses (18 units), three Geospatial Science electives (13.5 units) and five elective courses (22.55 units) from either the Natural Resource Management, Water Management or Urban Ecology streams.

The Masters program requires the completion of 54 units of courses selected from one of the streams, Natural Resource Management, Geospatial Science, Water Management or Urban Ecology. The program comprises of 4 core courses (18 units) and 4 elective stream courses (18 units) plus Environment Research Projects 1 & 2, or the program of study may consist of 4 core courses (18 units) and 8 elective stream courses (36 units).
