Entry requirements
Applicants are required to have;
- a completed degree in science, engineering, technology, or
- or a completed Bachelors degree in any discipline or equivalent qualification and 3 years work experience as a Forensic Computing, Information Assurance or Electronic Evidence professional; or
- or a minimum of six years relevant professional experience in information assurance, forensic computing work experience in Law Enforcement, Defence or the commercial sector is required.
In addition applicants would normally have passed coursework with the following content or gained similar skills and experience in their workplace:
- Computer programming,
- Data modelling and database design, and
- Project management.

Aim
To provide a postgraduate qualification in Forensic Computing (Electronic Evidence) to meet the requirements of Australian Law Enforcement, Defence and banking industry for those from a scientific, technical or law enforcement background.
Content & Structure
The program consists of four courses in Electronic Evidence and Forensic Computing. A total of 18 units of study must be completed.
The program will be offered in both: traditional mode over 13 weeks x 2 hour seminar and 1 hour practical per week in SP2 and SP5; and intensive block teaching mode, 5 days x 8 hours over 1 week in SP2 and SP5 with ongoing web mediated support.
