A completed four year Bachelors degree (or honours degree) from a recognised higher education institution or equivalent;
OR
A completed Graduate Diploma in Project Management from the University of South Australia.

In addition, international students who speak English as a foreign language must have obtained one of the following standards within the last two years prior to admission. Possession of one or more of these qualifications, in addition to the academic entry requirements, does not, in itself, guarantee a place at the University of South Australia. Applications are considered on an individual basis and selection is competitive. Where previous study/work experience was conducted in English, the application must be accompanied by certified documentation from the educational institution/employer certifying that the language of instruction/employment was English.

This program provides motivated graduates from diverse disciplinary backgrounds with an advanced understanding of international best practice in project management adopted by many government and industry sectors worldwide. It also provides students with the opportunity to apply and develop knowledge via appropriate research studies.
Content & Structure
The program requires the completion of eight core 4.5 unit courses related to Project Management by coursework, making a total of 36 units plus Project Management Minor Thesis 1 & 2 each worth 9 units, making a total of 54 units. Courses are listed in the program schedule below.
1. This is one of four courses that teach project management fundamentals. These courses should be undertaken at the first opportunity.
2. The program is available on either a full-time or part-time basis. However, note that international students will only have the full-time option.
3. Students must complete Project Management Minor Thesis 1 (BUSS 5295) prior to enrolling in Project Management Minor Thesis 2 (BUSS 5306). These courses form one project which requires an overall total of approximately 700 hours to complete.
4. Students who have completed the Graduate Diploma in Project Management program, or equivalent program will receive credit, subject to approval of the Program Director.
5. The Graduate Diploma in Professional Practice (Project Management) provides a pathway for subsequent entry to this program and both awards can be completed in two years of full time study or part time equivalent.
6. International students are advised that the program duration is 1.5 years fulltime and the 2 year study plan shown above is not available to international student visa holders. Please make an appointment to see your Program Director upon arrival to discuss your program of study.
