Interested in Creative Industries?

Launch your career as a leader in the Creative Industries and join one of Australia’s most connected creative universities, with big name industry collaborators and partnerships across all major creative sectors.

Creative Industries isn’t a new term, but one that may need some further exploration. Creative Industries are distinguished from other fields in that creativity is used to create value for consumers. The Creative Industries includes visual and performing arts; digital media and multi-media, including film and television, social media, computer animation and web design; festival and event management; and writing and publishing.

In fact, all sectors including health, manufacturing, finance and engineering also rely on employing people who can think differently, communicate effectively and lead innovation.

As we see a shift to many traditional jobs heading towards automation, the Creative Industries are bucking the trend and thriving. It is one of the fastest developing employment areas in Australia, growing 40 per cent faster than the economy.1 The Creative Industries create jobs and contribute to economic growth on a massive scale, employing over one per cent of the world’s working population – a staggering 29.5 million jobs globally.2 We are leveraging this boom, offering students a highly connected study environment at the cutting-edge of creative work across our range of creative degrees.

Specifically, our highly connected Bachelor of Creative Industries allows you to choose one Industry Major and pair it with either a second Major or two Minors, so you can build your own customised degree.

With world-renowned industry collaborators and influential connections, the University of South Australia will support and challenge you as you strive towards your career in the creative industries and beyond.
