Employers value graduates with industry experience and our Business Career Development Grants (formerly known as the Advanced Business Study Grants) will help you get there. UniSA is offering grants to give eligible Accounting, Finance and Economic students a head start towards their dream career.
Students have the opportunity to receive one of three grants:
Eligible students will have the opportunity to undertake a professional career development elective course and receive credit in their degree through a course substitution. This applies to students undertaking the following courses:

Eligible students will receive a course substitution for UniSA’s Quantitative Methods for Business (MATH1053) course and instead will undertake an additional elective of their choice.

Eligible students will receive a course substitution for UniSA’s Accounting for Business (ACCT1008) course (4.5 units) and undertake an industry-relevant or professional development elective course of their choice instead.

Students who undertake selected Fast-track to Masters packages which combine Bachelor of Business (Economics, Finance and Trade) with any postgraduate degree are also eligible.
Eligible students will receive a course substitution for UniSA’s Principles of Economics (ECON1008) course and undertake an industry-relevant or professional development elective course of their choice instead to enhance your employment portfolio.

1. In order to be offered one of the Business Career Development Grants, you must complete your SACE in the year prior to commencing study with UniSA, enrolling in one of the UniSA programs outlined above and meet all other eligibility criteria as detailed.
2. If you are deemed eligible, you will automatically receive the grant and will be provided with the necessary information before your university studies commence. No application is required. Recipients will be determined following the main January offer round and will receive notification before the end of January.
3. Students who do not wish to receive the course substitution offered (i.e. opt to study the course listed above) will become ineligible for the grant.
4. If students enrol in the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), Bachelor of Business (Finance) double degree and are eligible for both the Advanced Accounting and Advanced Finance grants, they are only entitled to one grant and will be required to choose which grant they wish to receive. Please note the course substitution differs between grants.
5. If Accounting students enrol in CPA Ethics and Governance, the $1000 grant will go toward the additional tuition fees associated with this course. The grant will be payable directly to the student's nominated account upon receipt of proof of payment from CPA and successful completion of the course.
6. If students undertake an international study tour, the $1000 grant will be used to defray travel costs tied to the study tour and can be used in conjunction with other study tour grants.
7. Processes for redemption of the $1000 grant in all other circumstances will be determined by the Program Director.
