The Bachelor of Human Movement, Bachelor of Business (Sport and Recreation Management) double degree program prepares graduates to improve the health, fitness and wellbeing of the community. The program also provides a high quality, broad-based business education for a professional career within the Sport and Recreation Management industry/sector. Graduates are prepared for practice in health and fitness centres, sporting organisations, sports performance laboratories, community health and rehabilitation settings and physical activity providers.
This 144-unit (32 course) program over four years is a combination of the Bachelor of Human Movement (IBHT) and Bachelor of Management (Sport and Recreation Management) (DBBS) programs. Students will complete core courses from both programs, 11 from the Human Movement program and 16 from the Sport and Recreation program.
Students will then select either the Human Movement or Sport and Recreation Placement course (1 course) and complete four electives; one free choice and three from a list of Advanced Elective options.
Students can select their Advanced Health electives from any of the groups listed or UniSA Business Advanced Electives. Advanced Health Electives are from a range of areas including Sports Coaching, Exercise and Sports Science and Health, Physical and Outdoor Education.
Students may use their four electives to complete the Sports Coaching sub major as part of their double degree program. Please refer to the program notes for more information.
From 4 August 2025, the University of South Australia will no longer be accepting applications for new students. Study at Adelaide University.
