Entry into the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours) (DHAD) program will be available to students who have successfully completed an undergraduate degree in a relevant creative discipline with an overall grade point average of 5 (credit level average) or above and who have obtained a credit level average in the final year in the discipline the candidate intends to pursue within the Honours program. Applications are considered on an individual basis and selection is competitive.

Aim
The Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours) program qualifies students with the research and analytical skills and the advanced knowledge to undertake professional practice, and is a pathway to higher degree research and further learning.
Graduates of a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours) program will have coherent and advanced knowledge and theoretical and technical understanding in their discipline, and a developed ability to apply knowledge of theory, research approaches and methods, and technical skill to professional practice and/or scholarship.

Content & Structure
The students will complete 36 units of study comprising: Research Methods (Creative), where students will formalise their research topic and produce a a contextual review (literature, practice, industry) appropriate to their topic; Research Practices (Creative), where students will explore the relationship between theory and practice and undertake individual research projects aligned with their proposals; and Honours Research 1, 2 and 3 (Creative) where students will consolidate their research to produce a thesis (written thesis, or artefact and exegesis).
