Applicants are required to meet one of the following criteria with a competitive result, and demonstrate that they fulfil any prerequisite requirements and essential requirements for admission:
Recent secondary education
Meet any prerequisite requirements with a minimum grade of C- or equivalent
AND
Applicants who have not achieved the Selection Rank required for automatic selection may be selected for any remaining places based on the grades of their year 12 subjects.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Communication and Media degree will have a broad and coherent body of knowledge, disciplinary perspectives and skills in the management of public communication, awareness and critical understanding of public attitudes and perceptions, with depth in the underlying principles and concepts of organisation communication and media management and be able to integrate communication with media technology and media industries.
Graduates will have knowledge and skills in managing the media and public relations in contemporary culture and society, writing and document development for print, radio, television and electronic media, and application of critical and analytic thinking to the strategic planning and management of communication and media.
The students will complete 108 units of study comprising 9 units of core courses, 45 units of major, 18 units of professional concentration, 27 units of sub-major and 9 units of electives.
Students may be eligible to enter the Pathway to Masters and complete the Bachelor of Communication and Media (MBCD) and Master of Communication (DMCO) programs in four years. Students should review the program notes or consult their Program Director for more information regarding this pathway.
** Students who intend to apply for the Master of Teaching (Secondary) program should seek advice from UniSA Creative in the selection of courses.
