The program prepares graduates to improve the health, fitness and wellbeing of the community and qualifies individuals who apply a broad and coherent knowledge of psychological science. In the field of Health and Physical Education it prepares graduates to work as school counsellors and opens up opportunities for graduates pursuing a teaching career to teach Health and Physical Education, Science and Psychology at secondary level.
This double degree can form the first part of a pathway to becoming a practising psychologist (including sports psychologist) with further study in the Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), and the first part of a pathway to teaching with further study in the Master of Teaching.
This program is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council.
