Aim

The Master of Engineering (Civil) aims to provide graduates and current practitioners with an advanced level of knowledge and skills in a range of areas relevant to the structural and geotechnical sectors of Civil Engineering.

Content & Structure

The program requires completion of 18 units of core courses and 18 units of elective courses in civil engineering. On completion of these courses students should be able to:

  • Apply and synthesise civil engineering theories in solving practical cases
  • Create and design models to be used in structural and geotechnical design and analysis
  • Adapt structural and geotechnical data analysis methods at advanced level
  • Utilise advanced modelling techniques to solve a range of practical problems in civil engineering
  • Develop advanced skills to communicate with civil engineering and related professionals
