Admission criteria

The admission criteria have been grouped to assist you to easily find the information most relevant to your circumstances. However, you may fit into more than one and the university will consider applicants against each of the relevant criteria.

Certain conditions apply. For more information refer to Appendix 4 of the University's Selection and Entry policy.

To be eligible for selection, applicants are required to have:

Completed the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE); and

completed 200 credits of subjects;
achieved a grade of C* or better in the Personal Learning Plan, 20 credits of literacy, 10 credits of numeracy and the Research Project at Stage 2;
achieved a grade C- or better in an additional 60 credits at Stage 2;
obtained a competitive ATAR.

* For Stage 2 subjects a grade of C- or better is required

Completed the equivalent secondary education qualifications as required for University entry under SACE and fulfilled any prerequisite requirements;
Completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma, obtaining a minimum score of 24 points and fulfilled any prerequisite requirements;
Completed or partly completed a recognised higher education program at a recognised higher education institution and fulfilled any prerequisite requirements;
Completed at least four Open Universities Australia (OUA) courses at the appropriate level and fulfilled any prerequisite requirements;
Completed an award from TAFE or from another registered training organisation at AQF Certificate IV or above and fulfilled any prerequisite requirements;
Qualified for Special Entry and fulfilled any prerequisite requirements;
Completed the University Foundation Studies program

* Normally applicants with a grade point average of 4** or better will be recognised for entry.
** A GPA of 4 refers to the UniSA grading scale which has a range of 1 - 7, other Australian and international grading scales will be considered.

In addition, international students who speak English as a foreign language must have obtained one of the following standards within the last two years prior to admission. Possession of one or more of these qualifications, in addition to the academic entry requirements, does not, in itself, guarantee a place at the University of South Australia. Where previous study/work experience was conducted in English, the application must be accompanied by certified documentation from the educational institution/employer certifying that the language of instruction was English.

Aim

The Logistics and Supply Chain Management major of the Bachelor of Management aims to provide business, industry and governement with professional graduates who have the aptitude for operations management and can apply innovative and creative management practices in their organisations.

Rules

1. The program comprises: a division core of eight courses; a sequence of nine courses specific to the program; seven elective courses; and students enrolled in DBMA (LSCM) with a business double degree (DBDD) must complete the major sequence for Logistics and Supply Chain Management at http://www.unisanet.unisa.edu.au/majorminor/DisplayMajor.asp .

Notes

1. All first year courses will be offered in both the first and second half of the year.

2. Students are expected to complete all first year courses prior to proceeding to the second year of the program.

3. Electives may be used to complete a second major, a professional experience minor, an international experience minor or any other relevant minor. Professional Experience: Industry Project 1 (9 units); Industry Project 2 (9 units). International Experience: Students can undertake an international study exchange up to 18 units. Relevant minor sequence, refer to the University web site - http://www.unisanet.unisa.edu.au/majorminor/DisplayMajor.asp , eg Public Administration or Management of Professional Practices. One (1) elective can be chosen from outside the Division of Business.
