1. The law degree comprises: a) 16 core courses from the law discipline; b) 16 elective courses: 12 of which must be selected from the courses offered by the School of Law.
2. Students may choose up to four but no less than two courses from a non-law discipline.
3. Students must complete at least 75% of their final year of the program with Advanced Electives.
4. Students in their third year may by selection and invitation be offered to transfer to the Law Honours program.
5. Students who wish to undertake a Pharmaceutical Science/Law elective option choice are required to select 4 Pharmacy and 4 Law courses from the Pharmaceutical Science/Law electives listing.
1. Students are able to take up to two Honours Elective courses as part of their undergraduate degree.
2. Under Admissions Rules, students seeking admission to practise in South Australia are required to spread the program over at least 9 trimesters/study periods taking at least 1 course per study period.
This program covers in a comprehensive way the academic requirements for admission to practice as specified by the national Law Admissions Consultative Committee and applied in South Australia by the Legal Practitioners Education and Admission Council. In addition to the academic requirements of the program, students seeking admission to practice are required to complete an approved practical legal training (PLT) program. Students seeking admission to practice in other Australian jurisdictions should apply to the appropriate admitting authority.
