Aim

The BSc (Advanced Materials) prepares students for a professional career in materials science in one of the areas of priority interest to South Australia, namely, minerals, water and energy technology, biotechnology or environmental remediation.

Content & Structure

This is a multi-disciplinary science program focused on priority areas of science for South Australia, namely the Mining, Water, Energy and Biotechnology sectors.

This is a three year science program. The first year offers students courses in fundamental foundation sciences. At the end first year students take the course Materials for the Future, which helps them to start making decisions about their elective options in second and third year.

The total number of units required to complete the program is 108.
