The Master of Finance (Quantitative Finance) will equip students with an in-depth understanding of the theory and application of pricing financial derivatives, the ability to quantify financial risk and will allow them to undertake rigorous quantitative modelling of financial securities and derivatives.
The quantitative techniques covered in this program are core prerequisites for graduates to undertake careers in financial services, banking and related finance industries. Thus, the program focusses on these sophisticated quantitative techniques which have been used so extensively in the finance, banking and insurance industries during the past few decades.
The program requires the completion of 16 courses totalling 72 units including four Business School core courses, four core finance courses, a four course quantitative finance major, two research courses and two electives.
