Notes
1. Students must complete electives to a total of 18 units selected from the following list of courses. Unless otherwise specified courses are 4.5 units in value.
2. Students considering enrolling in courses relating to learning in the workplace, service learning and the research internship need to discuss their enrolment and their placement with the appropriate course co-ordinators before completing their enrolment. Quotas may be placed on these courses subject to the availability of placement opportunities.
3. Students can obtain credit for up to two 4.5 unit courses by completing and passing approved industry certification or training courses. The following have been approved.
1) Cisco - CCNA and CCNP
2) Oracle - Oracle Certified Associate, Oracle Certified Professional
3) Microsoft -MCSE, MCSD
4) Sun - Sun Certified Java Programmer, Sun Certified Java Developer, Sun Mobile Application Developer
5) Cúram Certified Developer
4. Credit can be given for other industry certification or training courses with the joint approval of the Program Director and the Dean: Teaching and Learning of the Division of Information Technology, Engineering and the Environment.
