Aim

This program aims to provide a broad and fundamental understanding of the theory and practice of computers and information technology and prepares graduates for a professional career in computing and the software development and information services industry.

Content & Structure

The program consists of:

  • Core courses in information technology science (67.5 units),
  • An Elective enrichment course (4.5 units),
  • A major (36 units) or two minors (2 x 18 units) to provide specialisation.  There are four defined majors to provide (named) specialisations in Information Technology, however a student may take a combination of two IT minors from the list at the end of the program schedule, or a combination of an IT minor from the list at the end of the program schedule plus a minor from the list of minors provided by Schools from across the university.

A total of 108 units are required for the completion of the program.
