To be eligible for selection, applicants are required to have:
Completed the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE); and
* For Stage 2 subjects a grade of C- or better is required

This program is structured around a core of required courses (totaling 117 units) and elective courses (totaling 27 units). The degree requires completion of courses comprising 144 units.
The core courses provide for theory, practical and clinical based learning, foundational studies in exercise science including areas such as anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, motor learning and control, exercise and sport psychology, exercise programming and nutrition. Students then complete specialised clinical training in areas such as pathophysiology, clinical exercise assessment and prescription and occupational rehabilitation in order to be qualified to deliver exercise management for a range of cardiovascular, respiratory, metabolic, musculoskeletal, neurologic and cancer conditions.
