Entry requirements
- Applicants to the program are normally required to hold a completed university degree or equivalent professional qualification. AND
- applicants will normally have a minimum of two years of relevant experience in commerce, industry or a public sector organisation. OR
- applicants who have successfully completed the Graduate Diploma in Communication (Public Relations) will be considered for entry without the two years of relevant experience.
English language entry requirements
In addition, international students who speak English as a foreign language must have obtained one of the following standards within the last two years prior to admission. Possession of one or more of these qualifications, in addition to the academic entry requirements, does not, in itself, guarantee a place at the University of South Australia. Applications are considered on an individual basis and selection is competitive. There will be no intake into this program in 2012.
Aim
The aim of this program is to provide professional development education for graduates pursuing careers involving the management of public communication and media relations objectives and campaigns in organisations operating in a global context. The program is designed for professional practitioners as well as the managers of such professional practice.
Content & Structure
The program comprises 54 units of study. It is an intensive program made up of eight courses of 4.5 units (36 units) and a graduate case study combined with a research methods course (totalling 18 units).
Study at the new Adelaide University in 2026
