The UniSA Connect suite of programs will focus on:

  • professional learning, master classes and short courses
  • program evaluation
  • data coaching and support for action research methodology.

This program will provide skills in both virtual reality (VR) and electronics, as well as their learning design.

In partnership with the University of South Australia, Saeon Australia are providing an opportunity for teachers in future-oriented learning and computer programming.

Altino the Robot Car is an educational autonomous robot with sensors for movement, lights, LED signboard and music. The robot can be used to develop students’ critical thinking and problem solving.

Primary School Teacher Professional Learning is being offered online by Saeon Australia in Term 4 2020, and face-to-face in 2021.

Altino the Robot Car and complete online curriculum linked to ACARA STEAM and Digital Technologies is available for purchase and can be freighted to your school.

Virtual Reality (VR) in Learning Design Masterclass 

Delivered by Dr Paul Unsworth in the Samsung SMARTSchool, Magill campus

The Masterclass provides a standalone 90-minute session for educators to:

  • explore, learn and interact with VR technology
  • contextualise VR in Learning Design through experiential learning
  • adapt VR for students

Introduction to using VR in Learning Design Masterclass 90 minute from 4:30pm – 6:00pm on the following dates:

  • 2020 dates will be published in late January

Cost: $60 per person plus GST. On confirmation of registration, your school will be invoiced.

Electronics professional learning workshop

Mawson Lakes Campus

Teachers will learn about electronic components while constructing their own Game 4 kit to take home. Game 4 is a newly developed beginner’s soldering kit that, once assembled, has several interactive games and activities using the four touch capacitive keys on the corners of the board. This includes random number functions that can be used in probability calculations, speed games to test reaction times, memory games and sound generators.

Date: Tuesday 19 May 2020 from 4.00 pm – 5.30 pm
