About the program

For year 10 students

In this program, students develop soldering and assembly skills while constructing two interactive electronic games.

This program covers an introduction to electronics components and their functions. The students practise soldering and assembly techniques whilst developing their ability to identify and understand the function of the electronic circuitry components. There is also an opportunity to discuss career options which focus on electrical, electronic or mechatronic engineering.

What will students do?

As part of the program, students will:


  • As this program is a practical activity, students and accompanying adults will be required to wear closed-in shoes and appropriate dress.
  • Long hair will need to be tied back.
  • Teachers will receive confirmation of booking and pre-visit information.
  • The session runs from 9:30am to 2:30pm.
