The Foundation Studies enrolment process adds a layer of specialised support for commencing UniSA Foundation Studies students.
In some instances, students will be advised to enrol in a part-time study load allowing for skill development in a particular area, for example literacy, prior to undertaking a full time study load. Evidence based research shows that students who are developing their language and literacy skills are less likely to succeed in their studies if they are consolidating these skills whilst studying additional literacy rich courses.
This Literacy Enrolment Planning Tool is designed to assist you in the enrolment process and advise which Literacy courses are most appropriate for you to enrol in. English Language Studies (LANG 46), Communication for Academic Purposes (COMM 1068) or Critical Literacy (LANG 1002) . Every student must enrol in 2 of these courses as per their program schedule, unless otherwise advised.
After you have completed the planning tool you will receive feedback regarding which courses you are advised to enrol in and whether full or part-time enrolment is approved.
There is a combination of multiple choice and short answer questions which assess your grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension.

This task is a collaboration between commencing students and UniSA College staff. You will identify your destination degree in the Literacy Enrolment Planning tool which will enable UniSA College staff to provide a specialised pre-populated plan for you, based on your area of interest. You are then required to populate the remaining course selections and submit a completed study plan tailored to your personal journey to undergraduate study.
It is important for you to submit the study plan to www.unisa.edu.au/collegehq. Click on the ‘Study Plan’ tab, found on the left hand menu. This will assist UniSA College staff to provide accurate and relevant advice and support throughout your studies.
PLEASE NOTE: Submitting a study plan does not guarantee entry into the undergraduate degree you have identified, nor does it commit you to this decision in the future.
