Surveying is an essential profession in Australia.

Land surveyors measure and analyse the environment to create order in the world around us. They work in the planning and design of projects in a range of industries including civil engineering, construction and mining. Graduates may find work with private surveying consultancies, engineers, architects and land developers. Surveyors also liaise with land-owners, service authorities and government bodies on land development.
