Course aim

The aim of this course is to provide additional academic support to students completing the UniSA Foundation Studies (MFFS), within the UniSA College. The course will provide a platform for the students to access extracurricular resources to assist their introduction to university study.
Specifically, the course will aim to develop skills and attributes which will support their transition from a pathway program into their first year of undergraduate study. In doing so the course will offer strategies and resources to support their ongoing development as a student in learning. The course will also strengthen the MFFS supportive network and with the MFFS Program Director.

Course content

The course will provide a scaffolded approach to support resources and development of academic skills during the UniSA Foundation Studies program. This includes addressing the topics of health and well-being, academic skills, accessing services at SEU, careers and linking the students with the unit they will transition into. The course will also introduce students to the shift in expectations and teaching and learning environment in undergraduate studies.
The students will pre-dominantly be supported via the Learn-online site, but face-to-face workshops will be scheduled across the year.
