Course aim

To develop preservice teachers’ understandings of teaching science using an integrated approach appropriate for students in secondary school.

Course content

Models of secondary schooling and their impact on science teaching; integrated approaches to teaching science; cross discipline, trans discipline and interdisciplinary approaches; how curriculum documents, e.g. Australian Curriculum and International Baccalaureate, shape secondary school science teaching and learning.
