Course aim

To fully develop a professional set of repertoire in small and large ensemble contexts and display musical and technical expertise in undertaking a major public performance.

Course content

This course is the capstone ensemble component of the program. Students will design and execute a major public performance demonstrating a range of expertise in both different styles and configurations of ensemble playing in a variety of Jazz genres. Students will plan and execute a public performance which showcases the talents of all musicians in the group. On completion of this course students will have compiled a significant body of work to demonstrate professional competencies in all aspects of jazz performance.
