The aim of this course is to enable students to demonstrate the NMBA (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia) Registered nurse standards for practice.
This supernumerary practicum placement focuses on students' demonstration of the NMBA Registered nurse standards for practice. Students apply theory studied in the program to the practice setting including: planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive nursing care for clients of varying acuity and complexity; clinical reasoning and decision making; client rights and autonomy; mentoring preceptorship, delegation and supervision, professional communication; NMBA codes of ethics and conduct; NMBA standards, guidelines and tools, mandatory reporting; reflective practice and lifelong learning.
