Architectural Documentation

Course aim

To familiarise students with construction principles and techniques utilised in the design of buildings of a domestic scale and to understand the role and conventions of architectural documentation in communicating design.

Course content

Students will be introduced to the relationship of building structure to site, structural supporting strategies, building enclosure, materials, and the integration of building services. Students will apply structural and construction strategies to the design of domestic scale buildings and communicate these strategies through architectural documentation.
