Course aim

The aim of this course is to prepare students to deliver clinical exercise services in the area of functional conditioning as required for work, employment and activities of daily living, using the best available evidence.

Course content

Principles of occupational rehabilitation, ergonomic assessments in the workplace and home, application of biomechanical principles to manual handling, worksite visits, design of exercise programs to improve functional capacity, recommend modifications to environment and/or duties relative to individuals capacity, report writing and return to work plans in accordance with legislative framework, conduct functional capacity evaluations for those with injury and pre-employment screening.
