To provide students with community /public health placements that enable them to apply their theoretical knowledge and further develop skills to meet the DAA competencies to practice at an entry level.
This course will consist of a 6 week placement in a community or public health organisation. Students will gain practical experience in the application of nutrition programs and in organising and delivering nutrition education sessions to members of the community. The placement will also contribute to the students’ understanding of the roles of a dietitian within the organisation they are placed.
