What you'll learn

What you Learn

The Master of Management (Marketing) comprises 12 courses. You will complete four Business School core courses and four Marketing specialisation courses. Through these you will develop skills and expertise in areas that include:

  • business analytics and the data-driven organisation
  • people, leadership and performance
  • buyer behaviour insights
  • marketing strategy and planning
  • advanced marketing analytics 

You will also complete four postgraduate electives – two from your specialisation and two from the Business School. They will enable you to develop skills from selected key disciplines essential for management in business.

Study hours

For each course you study, you will need to allocate time for various classes such as lectures, tutorials, workshops, seminars and practicals. Plus you will need additional hours to study in your own time to complete assignments, readings and projects and contribute to online discussion forums. So as a general rule, if you are studying full-time you would need to allocate 12 – 26 hours of study when at university and 14 – 28 hours of independent study per week.

Assessment

Your studies at UniSA will incorporate both practical, professionally-focused and research-based learning, so assessment types will vary. You can expect them to include:

  • case studies and reports
  • essays and assignments

I have more than 20 years’ experience as a professional architect working on the design and project management of large and complex building projects. My area of research interest is in strategic knowledge management to support organisational sustainability. At UniSA I am responsible for the design, management and delivery of a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the School of Management.

The Business School Hub is a convenient, central support service for Business School students, from first year through to graduation. The team provides expert advice on study options, elective choices and any academic difficulties. It also helps with referrals to support services across the University. The Business School Hub is there to facilitate your life at university, so you get the most out of your UniSA experience.

International Student Services will make your life at university easier. We want you to be successful, and if you need help we will be there to assist. Support services include:

This degree is offered online. With interactive online course materials and a 24/7 learning environment you can organise your study to suit your lifestyle. You can:

Alternative Pathways

Domestic
If you would like to strengthen your business knowledge with a shorter qualification, the Graduate Certificate in Business  (four courses). They provide a pathway into the Master of Management.
Both can be studied face-to- face, externally (online) or a combination of both.

International
If you would like to strengthen your business knowledge with a shorter qualification, the Graduate Certificate in Business (four courses). They provide a pathway into, and credit towards, this Master of Management.
