Course aim

This course aims to consolidate students’ critical analysis skills in relation to the transformation of power relations in global politics in general, and in the Indo-Pacific region in particular.

Course content

This course offers students the opportunity to engage with central concepts in global politics, including: the study of facets and forms of power; dynamics between global and regional international orders; grand strategy or strategic culture. Students will then be able to apply these concepts to particular case studies, enabling an exploration of the interaction between global superpowers, great powers and middle powers in the Indo-Pacific Region in relevant historical contexts.
