Course aim

This course aims to increase students' advanced understanding of Industry 4.0, the fourth industrial revolution, that features disruptive and innovative digital technologies and how they are transforming organisations and society.

Course content

This course analyses the intense challenges for employment, education, media and other sectors caused by disruptive digital technologies. Topics include: the impacts of big data, cloud computing and digital analytics on organisations and society; platform economies; data driven investigative journalism; social media management; digital motherhood; artificial intelligence, robotics and automation in the workplace.
