Course aim

To explain the fundamental concepts of electrical and electronic systems, and apply these principles in practical applications.

Course content

This course will explain the principles of electrical systems and electronic circuits . Topics that will be covered include: electrical quantities, units of measurement, Ohms Law, Kirchhoff Current Law, Kirchhoff Voltage Law, capacitors, inductors, transients, diodes, simple operational amplifiers, relays, electronic switching, transformers, electromagnetic fundamentals, energy sources and energy storage.
