Course aim

To introduce students to the key theoretical, formal and practical aspects of screenwriting.

Course content

Students will explore the history and aesthetics of narrative as it connects to classical and contemporary storytelling structures and forms. In the practical components of the course students will be introduced to the basic screenwriting skills, techniques and professional practices which underpin narrative-based content production for film, television and digital media forms.
