This course provides students with frameworks and skills for managing major projects in the energy sector with a particular focus on financial aspects.
Financing of energy projects: accounting, corporate finance, valuation, sources of finance, financial risk (modelling and mitigation) aspects. Financing developments since the global financial crisis, financing of nuclear energy.
Project Management: fundamentals, roles, organisational structures, project management methods, application to energy projects, link to corporate vision, managing the risks associated with energy projects.
