Course aim

To become proficient at using analytic techniques to model and structure the information content of text, from a range of sources, for business intelligence, exploratory data analysis, research or investigation, typically in response to a business question.

Course content

Web Analytics: web scraping; acquiring data from websites. Analysing the web-scraped data to address a business question.

Text Analytics: Opinion mining; content analysis; sentiment analysis.

Search analytics (search optimisation) and User analytics (search, social networks and contacts).
