Course aim

To provide students with knowledge of curriculum content, pedagogical approaches and practices in the areas of Technologies and the Arts (Dance, Drama, Media Arts, Music and Visual Arts) relevant for Learners (Reception - year 7) and to actively and critically study the Arts and Technologies, and their application as curriculum content within educational environments.

Course content

Students will engage with a cross-disciplinary approach to learning Technologies and the Arts (Dance, Drama, Media Arts, Music and Visual Arts), develop their existing knowledge, skills and understanding of Technologies and the Arts National curriculum frameworks and professional standards, learn about a range of subject specific pedagogies and apply these to planning for the development of student’s design and creative thinking, and technical capabilities.
