Course aim

Complete a type endorsement on a multi engine aircraft, complete the instrument flight rules ground simulator lessons and successfully pass the CASA Instrument Rating Flight Test.

Course content

Type endorsement on multi-engine aircraft including normal and simulated emergencies; instrument flight rule procedures conducted in the simulator and in flight, including holding patterns, precision and non precision approaches.

Students must hold a minimum of a Class II Medical with at least 6 months validity. Students must remain compliant with the Aviation Academy's Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP). Students must have passed CASA Instrument Rating Theory Exam (IREX)

Practical (Students are assigned an instructor for the duration of the course who will work with each student individually to plan and book flight lessons.) 11 weeks x 2-3 flights per week

Assessment

CASA Instrument Rating Flight Test, Practical flight assessment conducted in a multi engine aircraft. Navigation with 2D/3D approaches.
