Course aim

To provide students with strong background knowledge of the major physiological systems of the human body. This will include developing students: understanding of how the major organs function, appreciation that cell/tissue structure relates to their function, and that homeostasis is important for these processes.

Course content

The structure and function of cells and body tissues, organisation and concepts of the function of the major physiological systems of the human body and how they interact to maintain homeostasis.
