Course aim

To provide an experiential environment which allows a student to apply the knowledge gained in first year
courses in the Bachelor of Aviation and to assist with their career decision making.

Course content

Proper use of checklists for single pilot operation which also supports development into mutli crew operations.

Proper use and effect of primary and ancillary controls on the ground and in the air.

Air exercises including, straight and level, climbing, descending, turning, and stalling.

Flying the circuit pattern and with air traffic control procedures and phraseology.

Practical (Students operate the flight simulator in pairs with each spending 1/2 an hour each as pilot in command.) 2 hour x 10 weeks
