This course provides students with various perspectives of procurement and purchasing. Students will be able to evaluate the processes and systems for effective strategic, tactical and operational management of assests and resources in both public and private sector organisations including Small to Medium Enterprises (SME's).
Perspectives of purchasing and procurement as an integral aspect of the supply chain, purchasing structure and design, strategic objectives of procurement, sourcing decisions and managing suppliers, customer and supplier relationships, negotiation and outsourcing, tendering and the use of support tools.
