Planning Research Project 1N

Course aim

To facilitate the commencement of advanced student-led research in Urban and Regional Planning and further research training and development.

Course content

Students commence development of an individual research project. Students will learn to identify a relevant research question and articulate its significance for planning scholarship and professional practice, critically review and evaluate selected literature on their topic, evaluate and adopt an appropriate methodological framework and research methods of specific relevance to their project area. Students will advance their knowledge in contemporary Planning scholarship and demonstrate the articulation of this with professional planning practice through the completion of an individual research proposal, literature review and methodology.
