Course aim

To provide students with the skills and confidence necessary to create and implement a project for the solution of a natural resource management problem and to act as a consultant in presenting the project to the management agency.

Course content

Students work cooperatively with management agencies and staff supervisors to apply what they have learned throughout the program to address specific resource management issues using a multidisciplinary approach. Within the framework of a project brief student teams work to; define values and issues, collect and analyse data, investigate and plan problem solving strategies, prepare comprehensive guidelines including financing strategies, and present a proposal pitch. This course will include a 7-14 day field experience. Major expenses will be supported through the School of Natural and Built Environments.
