To introduce the principles of environmental monitoring, and to equip students to critically evaluate monitoring programs and to design effective approaches for monitoring the natural environment..
The course will introduce the theory and tools of effective monitoring of the natural environment. It will discuss the purpose, implementation and evaluation of monitoring programs. Students will critically evaluate monitoring programs and learn to apply monitoring principles in case studies. This course includes a 3-day field camp. Major expenses will be supported through the School of Natural and Built Environments.
