Course aim

Theory, critical analysis, and practice of information behaviour and literacy in library and information settings.

Course content

Introduction of theoretical framework and research methodologies underpinning information behaviour and literacy. Students will be exposed to findings on studies on information behaviour which are used to inform and improve designs on information systems and services. Application and practice of information literacy in library and information settings which includes teaching children and adults, instructional design, copyright and plagiarism, effective presentations, teaching with technology, lifelong learning, future trends in information behaviour and literacy.
