Course aim

To develop students' knowledge, skills and professional expertise as pre-service teachers and apply their skills in design and technology education to meet the identified needs of a range of stakeholder’s through engagement in placed based learning projects.

Course content

Students will extend their knowledge as pre-service teachers and work collaboratively within professional enviroments to liaise, negotiate and collaborate with stakeholders to identify and meet a diverse range of design based needs. For example, pre-service teachers may work with schools to develop school gardens such as those established through the community programs. Pre-service teachers will refine and apply their planning for teaching skills to collaboratively produce scoped and sequenced teaching packages.
